Installing Windsor Ledgers

• Windsor Faux Panels are designed to work with accessory pieces.
• Accessory pieces make the job go smoother with professional results.
• With accessories, there are no exposed edges and no caulking required.

• The Ledger Piece makes an ideal transition to other materials.
• The Ledger can attach in 3 different ways.
• In this application, the ledger will go directly over the top row tongue.
• First, measure the total length of ledger required.

3. Measure and Cut the Ledger

• It is important to end both sides of the wall with finished ledger ends.
• It is best to take the total length, and cut equal amounts from the center of the wall.
• This allows a tight union between the pieces and finished edges on each side.
• Measure and cut each ledger for a center union.
• Cut each end square for a good fit.

• Toe Screw the Ledger to the underlying Substrate, with screws placed minimum 16" apart.
• Additional gluing is recommended
• Before gluing, lightly sand the ledger gluing surface for better bonding.

• Interior applications do not require any flashing.
• Transitional materials fit flush onto the ledger, covering the screws for a professional finish.

• Exterior applications require flashing for moisture control.
• The flashing covers the screw attachments for professional results.
